Faculty Positions

Instrumental Music Teacher

We are seeking a music educator who can take an established instrumental music program to the next level.  Vision, creativity and a passion for music are necessary qualities.  The responsibilities include teaching lessons for all band instruments, directing the elementary, junior high, and high school bands, and teaching music appreciation classes.  Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills with both students and parents. A  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in music education is required. Experience preferred.  Applications must be received by June 1, 2013.

Bible Teacher/Chaplain

We are seeking a college or seminary trained teacher who is successful in communicating God’s Word to teens in an engaging, relevant manner.  Vision, creativity and a passion for discipleship are necessary qualities.  The teaching responsibilities include classes in Bible for grades 9-12.  Other responsibilities include planning and implementing chapels and retreats for students in grades 7-12, organizing student Bible studies, mentoring class chaplains, and providing assistance in promoting the spiritual formation of our students.

Secondary Social Studies Teacher

We are seeking candidates to teach middle and high school Social Studies.  Strong content knowledge req., with effective communication of concepts and content. Must possess experience with instructional technology, classroom management skills, and enthusiasm for the subject matter. Bachelor’s degree in social studies or social studies ed. req. Master’s preferred.  Applications must be received by June 1, 2013.

Elementary Teacher

We are seeking candidates who have a passion for teaching and discipling elementary age children and understand the characteristics and needs of children. The candidate must be proficient in teaching elementary curriculum, and be able to deliver instruction that effectively engages varied learning styles.  Experience with instructional technology, classroom management skills, and a love for children of this age group are necessary.  Excellent communication skills with both children and parents are required.  The candidate must possess at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  A Master’s degree is preferred.  Experience in the classroom is desirable.  Applications must be received by June 1, 2013

Library Media Specialist — Full Time

We are seeking an individual to plan, direct and implement the library program at both the elementary and secondary levels.  The Library Media Specialist will also teach library classes at both levels. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in library science is required.  Applicants must also be proficient in library technology.

Experience with computer programs and strong clerical skills required.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.  This is a ten (10) month position with some summer work required.
